A selection of “Kneippanlagen” (walk-in spa baths) from Germany. It is highly likely that Pfarrer Sebastian Kneipp read Sir John Floyer’s work (1702) before he started developing his healing methods 150 years later in 1849, and developed the spa healing technique from Sir John’s work. A German translation of Sir John’s work was created by Johann Kaspar Sommer in 1749.
